Editorial Review of Homecoming (Star Trek Voyager Book One of Two) (Pt.1)

After seven long years in the Delta Quadrant, the crew of the "Starship Voyager"(TM) now confront the strangest world of all: home. For Admiral Kathryn Janeway and her stalwart officers, "Voyager"'s miraculous return brings new honors and responsibilities, reunions with long-lost loved ones, and for some, such as the Doctor and Seven of Nine, the challenge of forging new lives in a Federation that seems to hold little place for them. But even as Janeway and the others go their separate ways, pursuing new adventures and opportunities, a mysterious cybernetic plague strikes Earth, transforming innocent men, women, and children into an entirely new generation of Borg. Now the entire planet faces assimilation, and "Voyager" may be to blame

Review Summary: Inexcusable
Review: The Deep Space Nine "re-launch" and the continuing adventures of the TNG crew are exception, which makes this pale attempt at reinvigoration is horrible. The storyline is awful. I've read hundreds of Star Trek books and these two are among the four worst I've ever read. (The other two being the Resistance and Before Dishonor storyline. Note: With David Mack's spectacular Destiny trilogy, the latter two books are forgiven.)

Skip these two.

Review Summary: How many pages?
Review: I am a major Star Trek fan, particulary Voyager. It has only been a few months since I saw the last episode from which this book was written. I awaited paitienly for my book to come, only to find that about ten pages cut out! It was spread over a few chapters, but I will never know everything that has happened. Be very careful when you order a used book. Very unfair.

Review Summary: A good read, but a little repetitive...
Review: This is a great book, don't get me wrong... I think the author originally planned to make this a two book series. I actually found myself skipping about ten pages... I have read this, and The Farther Shore, and while the main story is fantastic, side stories are a bit annoying. The only one I found entertaining was the Holographic Revolution side story. Numerous references to the TV series seem like filler that's not important to the story. Also, while I know book series' do leave cliffhangers at the end, I mean WHAT THE HECK! The ending to part one was just terrible! That's TOO big of a cliffhanger! Even if you are a hardcore Voyager fan, you will know this book could have been better. It's a great idea, Christie, but it didn't hit the mark...

Review Summary: If you liked the series, you should read this one
Review: Great story, specially for those who followed the series all these years.
If you were not completely satisfied with Endgame, you should try this.
I recommend you also get book number two, or you might end up frustated as I was, waiting for the next book arrive in order to to figure out how the story ends.
Very easy to read, I started and could not drop the book.
